week 4 photos

A sunrise with cool looking clouds.

I took these next four pictures at different times, these two are with artificial light.

These two are with natural light.

A piano book with artificial light.

Julia with back light.

And side light.

Photography lighting

Light is one of the most important parts of taking a picture. A perfect picture requires good lighting whether it be natural or artificial, which are the two main types of light. Natural light is not as steady as artificial light depending on what it is like outside, but natural light in some ways is more pleasing than artificial light. Light can be directed to get desired shadows or lighter spots on the subject by moving the subject at different angles. Also, different lenses can increase or decrease the amount of light on a subject. The flash on a camera can also illuminate a subject when it is to dark and flash can be considered artificial light.

I edited this on picasa to make it black and white. This is also a rule of thirds pic.

Week 3

Our cute, and fat cat willow, how i got her to do this i'll never know.

I used flower mode on this to get the part of our deck clear and our cat fuzzy,(she is literally fuzzy)

 For this one, I used flower mode for the plants in the foreground.

this is using the rule of thirds. I like how julia is darker and the window is light.
